Financial Advisor At Retirement GroupRetirement Planning Specialist
After a long career in corporate America and the experience I gained from my positions in Operations, Telecomm and Management for IBM and AT&T, I decided to follow my passion for assisting others with their financial future. My personal experience with corporate downsizing led me to a desire in protecting, preserving, and pursuing more value from one’s financial resources. This brought me to the start of my career with Equitable Advisors in December 2004. At Equitable Advisors, I was able to continue developing myself as a professional. In 2006, I completed the Equitable “At Retirement” program and received a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School of Business. I was awarded the title of Retirement Planning Specialist by Equitable Advisors, an honor only 600 financial professionals received nationwide. In 2021 I became a Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach, issued by Columbia University’s Coaching Center of Excellence. By knowing who and what is most important to my clients at every stage of their lives – as well as the motivations behind their goals and dreams – together, we can design a more purpose driven financial plan. I am proud of the recognition, growth and that both programs have allowed me to better assist my clients. My goal for all my clients is to ensure they achieve their financial goals. I work with individuals and closely held business owners through a relationship-based, consultative planning process to define and implement strategies that meet their individual financial needs and objectives. We are always looking to design long-term diversified investment strategies built with a planning process and are always looking for the most cost-efficient, high-value ways to manage your money. My specific focus for owners of closely held businesses is on what keeps them awake at night. It includes addressing issues such as: business planning, benefits assessment, key employee protection, executive benefit strategies, business life insurance and continuity/succession planning. I have lived in the Tampa Bay area with my wife, Maria for over twenty-three years. We have raised four children, three sons, Peter, Michael, and Alex and one daughter, Olivia. We have six adorable grandchildren, Loren, Kinsley, Peyton, Xander, Jordan and Brinlee that just light up my life!! I enjoy spending time with them and supporting my community through the Northwest Tampa YMCA, Tunnel to Towers Foundation and St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School.
